our green #tea english translation has changed to mao jian

Our popular Mao Jian is still the same great fresh, clear, clean, nutty, and smooth green tea we’ve been offering from the same tea garden in Zhejiang from the start.

We’ve changed the name of our 毛尖绿茶 green tea to English name: “Mao Jian Green Tea” (previously it was “Jade Sword Green Tea”).  The Chinese name 毛尖绿茶 (mao jian lv cha) is still the same as it always has been—we just changed the English translation and thus the English product name.

Tranquil Tuesdays is moving towards using the specific Chinese names of each tea in standard pinyin for the English name and translation of all our teas.  This decision is to help customers establish a more direct connection with Chinese teas and tea culture as it is enjoyed and revered in China.

Look forward to more forthcoming announcements as we revamp the English names in the upcoming months!
